The Ben Massell Dental Clinic (BMDC) has provided the most advanced dental care available to Atlanta's neediest patients for most of the past century. The clinic has come a long way since it began as a general health clinic 100 years ago. With 7,900 square feet, 15 operatories, two hygiene rooms and the latest state-of-the-art technology in dental equipment, we serve thousands of patients each year, and demand is growing.

The Ben Massell Dental Clinic is the only dental clinic in Georgia to be fully staffed by volunteer dentists and that offers comprehensive care in every specialty:
- fillings
- oral surgery
- prosthetics
- extractions
- endodontics
- periodontics
- orthodontics

Aside from dental issues, clients often arrive at the clinic with life and health issues brought on by poverty, joblessness, homelessness, diabetes, HIV-AIDS, drug abuse and more. A full-time social worker on the clinic staff provides crucial case management and referral services to Ben Massell clients. In addition, the clinic works in conjunction with other organizations to expand our services beyond dental. Thanks to a collaboration with Saint Joseph's Mercy Care Services, clients can receive general health screenings for such conditions as heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes. And through Georgia Lions Lighthouse, patients have access to free eye exams and glasses.

To qualify for services you must:
- Live in one of the following counties: Butts, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding, Rockdale.
- Show proof of county residence for at least six months.
- Have no insurance to cover dental costs.
- Have a total household income at or below 125 percent of the current poverty level. This chart can be used to help you determine your eligibility.
