About Head Start - Sandoval - Little Steps

Children's Services:
Little Steps Early Head Start provides services to 24 infants and toddlers in collaboration with Independence High School. The Little Steps EHS Center-Based program is a year-round split model program that offers center-based services during the school year and home-based services during the summer This program provides an opportunity for parents to encourage their child's healthy development. Together, the parents and center staff create a learning environment that will help the child grow and develop socially, intellectually, emotionally and physically, with an emphasis on the need for intervention at the earliest age.

(Home Visitor Program:)
Home-Based services are provided to 38 families in Sandoval County. The Home Visiting Program is a year-round program offered to families with children ages birth to three years. It provides an opportunity for parents to encourage their child's healthy development. Together, the parents and Home Visitor create a home learning environment that will help the child grow and develop socially, intellectually, emotionally and physically.
