About PMS- Carlsbad Family Health Center

This community clinic is located in Carlsbad, NM serving the rural population. This clinic is open only 40 hours a week. A federal grant awarded to grantee Presbyterian Medical Services. helps maintain operations.
Primary Care
Comprehensive family medical care is available including, chronic illness care, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, acute illness care, preventive medicine, family planning, women's health, wellness physicals and screenings. We also run a Hepatitis C program in collaboration with UNM - Project ECHO.

Behavioral Health
Carlsbad Family Health Center works in conjunction with Carlsbad Mental Health Center to provide high quality behavioral health services to those suffering with emotional issues as well as severe disabling mental illness. These services include assessments, individual counseling, family counseling, marriage counseling, crisis intervention, medication services by referral to on-site physicians. Also available by referral to Carlsbad Mental Health Center are psychosocial rehabilitation services, substance abuse programs, anger management groups, comprehensive community support services, psychiatric consultation services, and more intensive medication management services.
